    ISSUE:
I have a lot of clients, is there a way to automate which lab they are assigned to when they check-in?

    SOLUTION:
Yes. When creating a Lab you'll have three options under 'Lab Definition'

    1. Manual assignment with MAC address, when choosing this option you will need to manually assign clients to this Lab, but once assigned LabStats will remember the MAC address and when a client checks in with that MAC address it will be placed in this lab.

    2. Hostname Prefix. You can specify a hostname prefix which assumes a wildcard after the prefix that when a client checks in with this prefix it will be assigned to this Lab. Currently there isn't a way to use a prefix as a wild card. For example, if I have a hostname prefix of 'library' and a computer checks in with the hostname 'library-1234' it will be placed in this lab, but if a computer checks in with '2456-library' it will be placed in the 'Unassigned Lab' assuming it doesn't fit any other definitions

    3. IP address. Using this option you are able to specify an individual IP address, or a group on a specific netmask that will be assigned to this group.
